EU Order Information

Updated: October 2023

EU Customers Minimum Order Policy

  • Minimum order requirement for customers importing into the EU and Northern Ireland is £150.

  • All EU orders over £150 will automatically qualify for FREE delivery and don’t forget we offer same day dispatch on all orders placed by 4pm.

(Following the significant VAT rule changes introduced in July 2021 for importing into the EU and Northern Ireland, we've implemented a minimum order requirement of £150 for all our valued customers in these regions. This step ensures that the method of VAT and Duty payment remains the same and limits disruption.)

EORI Number

  • Any business importing and exporting goods to the EU will need an EORI number.

  • An EORI number (Economic Operator Registration and Identification Number) is a unique ID code used to track and register customs information in the EU.

  • Your EORI number will be unique to you.

  • To find out more and register for an EORI number please visit your national government website.

Duty Rates and Custom Charges

    • Duty rates will vary by item but the average duty rate is 4.3% * for gift products.

    • A standard customs clearance charge of €15* will apply to all orders and will be payable to the courier company.

    • Please note that €15 is the standard clearance charge applicable to receive goods however, it is very likely that additional charges will be applied. These charges will be specific to the customs regulations in the country of delivery and will vary.

    *World Trade Organisation rules

(Under the UK Government agreement, the EU trade deal guarantees zero tariffs on goods however, this is only applicable to products made in the UK and EU. As an international importer, we source our products worldwide so duty rates will still apply).

    Paying Customs Charges

    • UPS is our 'Customs Agent.' They will contact you to inform you about the customs duty you need to pay and handle the customs clearance process for the delivery of your goods.

    Paying VAT

      • There will no longer be VAT on any invoices from Something Different Wholesale.

      • You will now be governed by the tax rules of your country.

      • VAT will be charged at the rate applicable for your country before the goods are delivered to you. This information will be provided to you by UPS with instructions on how to make payment.
