Ambiente 2026: Our First Visit to Frankfurt Was A Huge Success

Frankfurt exceeded expectations.

 Ambiente 2026 (held in Frankfurt from 6–11 February 2026) was our first time exhibiting at this world-leading international trade show for giftware, home décor and lifestyle products, and it was an experience we won’t forget.

With more than 10 halls covering everything from Christmas and seasonal décor to stationery, home accessories, gifting, sourcing and volume suppliers, the scale of Ambiente is impressive. Buyers attend from across Europe and around the world, making it one of the most important meeting points in the international gift industry.

For us at Something Different Wholesale, being there was about more than exhibiting. It was about showing up for our European customers, meeting them face-to-face and continuing to build the relationships that matter.

Strengthening Our European Partnerships

There really is no substitute for in-person conversation.

Throughout the show, we met independent gift shops, home décor retailers, online stores and buying teams from across Europe. The conversations were open, honest and encouraging.

Retailers spoke about wanting trend-led giftware that sells, reliable wholesale supply they can depend on, clear pricing and simple EU ordering without customs complications. That feedback matters to us.

As a UK-based wholesale giftware and home décor supplier, we’ve worked hard to make European trade straightforward and supportive. Our aim isn’t just to supply products, it’s to be a partner retailers can rely on.

At Ambiente, we showcased a selection of bestselling and new-in collections, including home fragrance, seasonal gifting, decorative home accessories and alternative lifestyle ranges. Every range is exclusively designed and created with retail sell-through in mind.

One of the biggest topics of conversation was post-Brexit trading and how retailers can continue ordering from UK suppliers with confidence.

We offer a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) wholesale service for EU retailers, acting as the importer of record and clearing goods through our Netherlands operation. In practical terms, that means no unexpected import charges, no complicated customs paperwork and no hidden fees on delivery. Just clear, transparent landed pricing.

Ambiente highlighted just how valuable international trade shows are for building long-term partnerships.

For our first time exhibiting, it was a fantastic experience. We strengthened relationships with existing European customers, introduced our collections to new retailers and started conversations with partners from further afield.

Beyond the business conversations, the team genuinely had a wonderful time. From exploring the enormous exhibition halls to enjoying Frankfurt’s hospitality in the evenings, it reminded us why we love this industry, it brings people together.

Growth is important to us but it’s growth built on service, reliability and genuine connection.
