Our Investment In Solar Energy

At Something Different, we are passionate about working to make a positive, sustainable impact on the planet. Our commitment to sustainability is now more important than ever, and it’s important for us as a business to continuously look for ways to develop our green strategies.

Our most recent green project is well underway with our investment in solar energy, which has kickstarted our journey to become an energy-efficient organisation. In November 2022, we had 60 pallets of solar panels delivered, and as of spring 2023, our warehouses are powered by the electricity generated by over 2000 solar panels!

Passionate about working to make a positive, sustainable impact on the planet, our solar investment will be completed by summer 2023. As a result, we’ll see 1.1 kW of energy generated per year, which equates to over 650 Tonnes of CO2 emissions not admitted into the atmosphere.

We are committed to further changes to reduce our impact on the planet. We have improved the way we package our products by using eco hex wrapping paper as an alternative to plastic bubble wrap, and boxed in 100% recyclable cardboard. We also have a range of eco-friendly products that are ethically sourced and FSC-certified.
