The ladies of Something Different Wholesale are taking part in this years Race for Life.

On Saturday 21st July we'll be pulling on our leggings, lacing up our running trainers and getting ready to wade our way through a 'fun' 5k muddy assault course in aid of cancer research.

The Pretty Muddy race is an annual event that is hosted in locations across the UK to raise funds for Cancer Research. As many of you will know already, raising money for charity is something which we as a company are passionate about. We regularly take part in charity events throughout the year as well as donate profits from our collections and source products from ethical suppliers who are making positive impacts to the communities around them.

A total of 17 of us will be taking part in this years event which will be held at Singleton Park in Swansea. We'll be tackling muddy challenges like the A frame, getting stuck in the glorious mud pit and helping each other over the high nets in order to reach the finish line!

In the lead up to the event we'll be taking part in training challenges including a hike up the tallest peak in South Wales, Pen y Fan, located in the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. We are lucky to have such natural beauty on our doorstep!

Whilst we do our best to get into some sort of shape ready for the event, our exclusive No Sweat range is keeping us motivated! The colourful products and humourous one-liners are ensuring we're kept in good spirits whilst we do our best to keep up with the likes of Joe Wicks (his workouts are no joke!) or let our dogs drag us on runs around the park. However, we're feeling reassured that we're not alone on our mission to get fit.

Over 40,000 people take part in the London Marathon each year and this figure alone just scratches the surface to show the number of fitness fanatics in the UK, as hundreds of marathons, pentathlons and other sporting events are hosted here every year.

We'll be keeping you all posted on our results at the Pretty Muddy Event in July, so keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages to see how we got on.
