We Got Pretty Muddy For Cancer!

Well, we did it! On Saturday 21st July we braved the mud and completed the brilliant 5k Pretty Muddy obstacle course to raise money for Cancer Research UK and raised £1605.98

It was a fantastic day with 16 members of the Something Different team taking part in the event.

The day began early and we were delighted to find that the sun was shining, although that had little impact on the mud which was mixed to perfection to create a slimy, sticky, gooey mess.

In our purple and white Something Different Pretty Muddy T-shirts we prepped ourselves for the task in hand and braced ourselves for what was to come.

The event managers did an awesome job, creating a fun atmosphere with amazing support. There was an adrenaline pumping group warm up, to get everybody ready before the countdown to start the race. The obstacles were simply perfect (read horrendous) with plenty to climb over, crawl under, jump through and slide down. The mud was in abundance and everyone was caked from head to toe (we’re still trying to get it out of our hair!).

There were many laughs and groans at every stage of the course but most of all, everyone who took part had the most amazing time.

A huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated to our team and all of our supporters whose cheers of encouragement got everyone of us across the finish line. As you can see from our pic below, we had the best time and can’t wait to do it all again next year. #2019PrettyMuddy #teampurple
