We've Raised Over £8000 for the RSPCA Llys Nini

Sales of our exclusive giftware range 'Paws and Claws' have generated a total donation of £8,199.60 for the RSPCA Llys Nini.

Here at Something Different, charity is part of our company ethos. We support multiple charities around the world whose missions range from supporting and empowering indigenous communities to providing care and opportunities for orphaned children.

Back in 2017, we set about planning and developing a new collection of giftware with the aim of donating a percentage of the sales to charity. The collection we created was 'Paws and Claws' which was inspired by people who are passionate about their pet cats and dogs.

As a range which is centered on celebrating our love for our four-legged friends, it made sense for us to approach an animal charity and right here in Swansea we have the Llys Nini animal shelter which has rehomed over 14,500 animals since 1995.

The Paws and Claws range launched in January 2018 and for every item sold from the collection over the course of the year, we donated a minimum of 20p to Llys Nini.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who purchased from the range as you helped us to raise such an incredible donation for a very well-deserving charity.

This week we headed down to Llys Nini to present them with a cheque for the total donation and to meet some of the animals (we wish we could take them all home!).

With the funds raised Llys Nini can continue to do what they do best which is to take in and care for animals before helping them to find their forever home. The charity will be able to stock up on necessities like food, bedding and medication for the animals and provide funds for paying veterinary bills.
